Family Udate

When I started this blog I thought it would be a great way to remember the little things that you would like to look back on and remember. It's sad to say, but I don't keep a baby book so this is my "record" of what the kids are doing. I have been doing such a terrible job so I decided to update the blog on what's been going on.

Braden is now more than half way through his second grade year. He is doing great, making A and B honor roll every 6 weeks. He seems to like school and has gotten hooked on The Diary of A Wimpy Kid book series. He played football again and with Scott as his coach they got 3rd place. I can't believe next year he will move up to tackle! He is in the middle of basketball right now. He loves it!!! Uncle Brandon and Scott are the coaches and so far they are 2-1, I think. Braden is such a good big brother. Easton LOVES having him around and it's so cute to see them wrestling around. Easton has even started going with Braden to his friends around the neighborhood and thinks it's so cool.

Then there is Easton. Easton is in Pre-K 4 and I can't say he is loving it. He's in class with his best friend/cousin Jacob but on most days he would rather just stay home and be in his pajamas all day.He told me the other day he didn't want to go to school because he would miss me. He has recently started Karate. The first week he loved it then he was getting to a point where he didn't want to go. But last Saturday he earned some yellow tape on his belt which just means he's making progress. He was so proud and he has really been excited ever since to go because he wants more "stickers." He loves to read, play games on the computer, talk(he will talk your ear off) and watch movies. He asked this morning how hot is is in dinosaur land. I told him I didn't know and he said, "well, look it up on the interneck." =) Like Braden, he has become quite the big brother. He loves to hold Emarie and he will get in her face and talk "baby talk" to her til she smiles. He thinks her smiling is very entertaining.

Isabelle just recently turned 3(pics to come soon). She keeps us on our toes with her non-stop energy. She literally can not sit still for more than 30 seconds unless she is watching TV(and even then she doesn't always sit still) or being read to. She's got a little attitude that you can't help but love. This morning she wanted me to hold her but I told her I couldn't because I had to get ready. She said,"Well momma, since you won't hold me, you can't be a Baw-bie pwincess." Last night, she had on her barbie princess dress and told me, "Mommy, if you get up and dance with me, you will be a baw-bie pwincess too." Her favorite activity at school is the tumble bus and from I hear she is very good. =) She just started at a new daycare beginning of this month and seems to really like it. She impressed her teachers the first week when they told her to count the numbers on the wall and she started saying,"uno, dos, tres, etc." The director told me this morning that they were talking and instead of saying daddy they said d-a-d-d-y and Isabelle turned around and said ,"Are you talking about my daddy?" You can't get anything by her.

And last but not least there is my sweet little Emarie. And sweet is really an understatement. You look at her and she smiles. The only time she is not happy is when she is hungry or tired. I took her to have her pics made last night and the lady asked if she was always that happy. I get that all the time because it doesn't matter who you are, if you look at her, she's going to smile. She is sleeping in her own bed, in her own room, for the most part all night long. She is pretty much rolling over. She can't get her arm out from under her so she rolls on her tummy then just rolls right back over. She absolutely LOVES her jumper. She goes crazy in the thing. I'm pretty sure teeth are in our near future. She drools like crazy and puts everything in her mouth.

Scott and I are very busy these days! Probably the most excitement in our lives now(other than our wonderful kids) is the Saints!!!! We went to New Orleans and saw them lose to the Cowboys back in December but despite them losing we had so much fun. So, I did a crazy thing and bought tickets to the NFC Championship(more pics to come) game last Sunday. We had a blast but I have paid for it all week long. It was a long day driving there and back but so so worth it. Now we have the Super Bowl to look forward to. You would think with me not coaching life would be crazy busy. Not so much...it's always something. There's Braden's basketball, Scott working alot, Karate, Dr. appointments, Awanas... Just always seems to be something. I am competing to be the next "Biggest Loser" at Sterlington High School. The first week I did great and lost a little over 3 pounds. This week I slacked off and only lost .3 lbs.

I guess that is a good enough update for now. I'm going to try to do this more often. The kids are growing up way to fast and I don't want to forget all the little things!
