The Pledge Allegiance
Easton apparently has been learning the Pledge Of Allegiance at day care. We say it at AWANA but that has only been twice. But last night when we were going to sleep I asked him if he wanted to say his prayer and Bible verse. He said, "No, I wanna say the Pledge Allegiance." It shocked me but I said ok. This is his version,"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States Amereeca, indivisiable and justice for all." You would have to hear the sweet little voice he says it in. He even put his right hand over his heart...it was precious!!

Mommy's Sweetheart
When I ask Isabelle who mommy's sweetheart is she points to herself and says, very matter of factly, "ME!" She cracks me up too when you ask her a question and her answer is yes so used to say,"uh-huh." Now she will go, "Uh-huh...YES."

I John 4:10
Easton started AWANA last Wednesday. He is now a Cubbie which is 3 & 4 year olds. He had a Bible verse to remember so we have been practicing all week. He has to say "God loved us and sent his Son I John 4:10." So usually I will start and say, "God" then Easton says, "loved" and we go back and forth. Well last night we were going to practice it and I started to say it and he says, "No mom, you're supposed to say, God loved us and sent his son I John verse 10." It was so cute and he was so proud of himself!

Gustav
A hurricane is never a good thing and alot of bad things come from them but looking on the possitive side...it has given us a nice LONG weekend. The governor made about 30 parishes in Louisiana close school tues and wednesday so we are definitely enjoying our extra time off. Scott actually got the day off today too. Other than ALOT of rain and some wind it hasn't been too bad here. The wind last night knocked out alot of the electricity in our area but we were fortunate to keep our electricity and dish. Even though we have only been back a couple weeks it was definitely a break that was much needed!!!
High Delta
We took the kids to High Delta Safari Park a couple weeks ago. It was fun and the kids enjoyed it but it was definitely way over priced. Its only about 45 minutes from our house and has been there for a couple years but we had never been. You can take a wagon tour or drive your own car through the "safari" and see a bunch of wild animals. It was really neat how the animals came right up to the wagon to eat. All Easton talked about all week was going to see the animals but when we got there he would not get near them. Isabelle on the other hand was not as scared as I thought she would be. She wouldn't let the animals eat out of her cup but she would throw the food at them and say,"Get it!!!"

Playing Dress Up
I have been going through the kids things and trying to organize all the kids clothes. I have boxes and bags of clothes(thank you Jordan, Garryn and Tia) all over my house. The other day Isabelle found these boots and put them on so I put on the cute clothes so we could take pics. She came up to me and said, "ook at me mommy,I got boots." She is something else!!!

More pics from grandma's house
I know I haven't blogged in awhile and I have some more recent things to put on here but I love these pics and didn't want to leave them out.
