Quality Time with Grandma

My mom came in town a couple weeks ago. She came in the week before the state tournament to help with the kids while Scott was out of town and decided to stay a little while. It's been great. The kids have had such a blast!!! They've had had some major bonding time with grandma and eachother. Even though they are at the same daycare they don't hardly see each other during the day so I know they have really enjoyed being together all day. *Side note...3 more weeks and we'll all be together for about 12 weeks!!!!! These next few pictures were taken over the weekend.

Isabelle pushing her baby in her new stroller. Scott made a face when he saw the stroller and wanted to know if she really needed that. I told him all the poor girl has know the first 16 months of her life is trucks, trains and balls.

Easton had other ideas for the stroller!!!Grandma bought the kids a kitchen(and grill) set. This was a huge hit!!! Now, Scott wanted to know what we were trying to do to his little boy...but to his delight Easton is much more interested in the grill than the actual kitchen. =) Isabelle in the chef's hat.
A requirement of a good toy is a good box, then definitely liked this one. This was Saturday before Braden's baseball game. I love this picture!!! Friday night we had a really bad storm. I have never seen so much rain in such a short amount of time. I figured Braden's game would be cancelled but it wasn't...so we busted out the rubber boots. They are Easton's old ones so a little big but she had a blast. Easton had a pair too and they stomped in the mud and had the best time!!! At one point Easton stepped in a puddle that was so deep it went over his boots. Aren't the hands on the hips just great. On to our swing set... we are very proud of our $150 investment.=) A couple weeks ago our neighborhood had a garage sale. Mrs. Barbara and Bridgette came to our house and said we should go check out this swing set around the corner. It was originally $150, marked down to $75. We offered them $50 and they said fine. It looked pretty bad in their yard but they convinced me that a little paint and couple new swings we'd be good to go. We got it that night painted it and added two swings and we are definitely good to go. The kids love it and it keeps them outside for hours. It's got 2 slides, the swings and we made a sand box under the slides(you can't see the sand in the picture, that came later).I love this pictures of Isabelle and my mom. It looks like they are having a deep conversation.
Of course, I could not get them looking at the same time.Isabelle pouring sand on herself. She doesn't quite understand what she's supposed to do with the sand. She's either pouring it on herself, on her brothers or just out of the sand box. At one point, she must have been really irritating Easton and so he asked her,"Isabelle, you wanna go swing?" We thought it was funny that he wanted to get rid of her.
Of course she thinks the whole thing is pretty funny!!! Easton and his cheezy smile
I had to put this picture on here because there's a little story behind it. I was calling Eastons name over and over trying to get him to look at me. I never said anuthing about taking a picture I just called his name. Finally he said, without ever looking up, "I do NOT want to take a picture."
Sunday was our water day. It warmed up to 80 degrees and that was plenty warm enough for the kids. Here's Braden on his spiderman slip-n-slide.
Easton trying to work his spiderman sprinkler.
Isabelle, after sliding down the slide into the little pool.
My mom and the kids decorating cookies!! So intense!!!
