Prayer for Brooklyn
Emarie just climbed in my lap as I was rocking Brooklyn and asked if she could pray for Brooklyn. Here's how it went...Dear God, please help Brooklyn not get stolen, and keep Jesus safe on the cross and I love you God. A-man!! Love her!!

Sweet Conversations
Easton and I were driving down the road and I told him whenever I ask about his day I don't get much info so I was going to ask very specific questions. Here's how it went:
Me: who did you sit by at lunch?
Easton: same person I always do, Caden.
Me: what did y'all talk about?
Easton: really,mom??
Me: why can't you tell me?
Easton: because we were talking about girlfriends.
Me: YOU HAVE A GIRLFRIEND?? Easton: No that's what we were talking about, how I could get one.
Me: does Caden have a girlfriend?
Easton: yes
Me: so what did he tell you to do to get one?
Easton: he says I need swagger.
Me: what is that?
Easton: you know, like some coolness!!
Me: so who do you want to be your girlfriend? Brooke??
Easton: how did you know??
Me: bc you told me before. You can't have Emma bc her brother so you'll take Brooke.
Easton: yeah. That's right but I'm gonna have to fight Braden for her bc he likes her too. (Pause) there's a lot of pretty girls in my class but they aren't perfect cute.
Me: perfect cute??
Easton: yeah like you. That's what daddy told me, that you are perfect cute. So I guess I can't marry anyone til I know they are perfect cute!
Man, I love that kid. I wish I could remember every conversation with all my kids! Need to do this more often!

A Family of Seven
We are 3 1/2 months into being a family of 7. It has been a little adjustment but Brooklyn is just the sweetest baby and has fallen into the family so smoothly. The hardest part has been the nursing. I am SO glad I have stuck to it because there are many days that, if I didn't have to nurse her, I probably wouldn't hold her. It has forced me to slow down, stop what I'm doing and give her the attention she needs. The others have adjusted well for the most part. There are times they get frustrated because I'm busy feeding or changing or getting the baby to sleep but for the most part they are understanding. Emarie has gotten to where she does not meet a stranger. Wherever we go she winds up talking and then sitting in some adults lap. The person she targets can't help but love her sweetness.
