Yard Work

We are having a shower at our house this weekend so despite the cold weather we had to get out and clean our yard. The kids had a great time helping. Easton helped me pull weeds and everytime he would come over and show me what he got and say,"Mommy, are you so proud of me?" Isabelle was very interested in the worms!!
These are the azaleas we planted last summer. It's the first time they bloomed...I was so excited!!!

First Practice

Easton had his first wee-ball practice last night. He was too cute!! If he had to have a nickname after the first practice it would be "smiley" because he was all smiles. He had a hard time remembering which hand his glove goes on and at one point he told me,"I don't need this thing, it's just too heavy." He would rather field with his hands. They each got to hit off the tee 1 time and run all the way around the bases. He got up and hit it really good but then he didn't have a clue. They were all telling him to go to first and he just stood there with a big smile until he finally caught on. At dinner he asked Scott,"Why we only got to hit one time, I wanted to go again." Poor Isabelle wanted to play too. On the way there she said,"I wanna practice wee-ball!" Easton told her she couldn't because she was too little. She did not like that too much.

Feeling the Love

Conversation at dinner last night:
Easton: Mommy, I so happy.
Me: Well I'm glad. Why are you so happy?
Easton: I'm so happy because you my mommy.

2 nights ago Isabelle was watching Dora in the bedroom. Scott went to check on her and she asked him to lay with her. She was sitting on the bed facing the tv but since he didn't really care to watch Dora he layed down facing her. Well I guess at night when they sleep in there, Isabelle is usually where Scott was and he's on the other side. So then Isabelle says,"Daddy, I wanna hold you." Scott thought she meant for him to hold her but she really wanted to hold him. So she put her arm underneath his head and held him.

Couple Cute Stories

Most people reading this probably know that we are expecting again. When Easton first found out he was not nearly as excited as the rest of us. He said,"I don't need another baby. All I need is mommy, daddy,Braden and Isabelle." Thank goodness his attitude has changed since then. I went to the dr. yesterday for a check up and she did another ultrasound. I was showing the kids the picture, this time it really kinda looks like a baby, and Easton was so fascinated. He wanted to hold it and he would show it to Isabelle and say,"Look Isabelle, its our baby." Isabelle said,"A baby, a baby a baby!" She got that from the Dora Big Sister Movie. Then he told me he wanted to put it in his pocket so we don't throw it away. It's funny too because he will tell me he wants to see the baby. I tell him we can't see it yet but then he'll tell me to open my mouth and he tries to look for it. I don't know how much Isabelle understands but when you ask where the baby is she'll tell you,"In mommy's tummy." Well the other night she told me she wanted to look at the baby. She lifted my shirt and after staring for a couple seconds she said in the cutest little voice,"It's so cute, mommy." It was precious!!!

Big 'Ol Slacker

I know I've been slacking big time on this blog. It's another softball season which means busy, busy, busy. Always on the go!!! Thank goodness for grandma because I don't think we would have servived the 2 weeks she was here had she not been here. The kids had a blast, as always, with grandma.I love that the miles between them has not hindered their relationship. The bond between them is so awesome!!!
The kids are doing good and adjusting well to not being in daycare. They started staying with a lady I know out here by my school after my mom left. Even though it has turned my 40 minute trip, twice a day to about an hour twice a day I have really enjoyed the extra time with the kids. I love that after practice they are only 10 minutes from me. And days like today when I have a home game, I can go pick them up about 3 and bring them out here with me.
