Happy 6 Month Birthday!!!

Isabelle is 6 months old today!! Still sweet as ever but a little moody these days. She got her first tooth this week and has not taken it very well. For the first time since she was born she's been up in the middle of the night fussing. It's so sad. We may be in for a long couple months.
She said her fist word this month. Of course it was dada. She says it all the time now. The best is when she whines she says it over and over. You know she's got her daddy wrapped around her little finger already.

"Cover the Bag"

What is the definition of "cover the bag?" Well, that depends on who you ask. Braden had a tee-ball game last night that I unfortunately had to miss. So I got this story from Scott(who, of course, did not find it humorous). He says, "I got so frustrated with Braden tonight." My thought...whats new? So of course I ask why. He says "I put him behind second base, right behind the base, and I told him that when the ball is hit cover second so we can get the guy coming from first. It was perfect...the ball was hit to the shortstop and Braden runs to the bag, stands in front of it and puts his arms out to block the kid from getting to the base." I fell out laughing!!!! Scott said "Braden, what are you doing?" His response, which I thought was great was "You told me to cover the bag." I told Scott he did have a good point there.

Best Friends

Is there such a thing as best friends at 2 years old...most definately!!! Jacob is Eastons cousin and is exactly 6 months older than him. They have been staying together(during the day) since Jan of 06(Easton was 5 months and Jacob was 11 months) Scott's mom kept the both of them until Sept when they started daycare together. They were in the same class then separated for about a month then put back together. You can't pick up one without the other. They will say "Come on." It's so cute!!! The first day Easton went to Jacobs class the teacher told us that Easton was playing with a toy and some kid came and took it from him. Jacob walked over to the kid, grabbed the toy, pushed him down then gave the toy back to Easton.
They are both talking now and its so much fun. They talk about each other non stop. This morning Easton woke up and was very cranky(as always when he wakes up) but after he finally started really waking up the first thing he said was "where Jacob." They love each other so much and get so excited to see eachother.

Aren't they just the cutest?

Easton and Jacob May '07 at Navarre Beach, Florida(see post to come on family vacation to Florida). Jacob was so sweet to share his trucks. He never has a problem sharing with Easton.

Two peas in a pod!!! Did I mention that I could not get either one to look at the camera. I followed them around for awhile trying to get a good picture. I finally gave up!!

What one does there goes the other.
On the balcony of our condo. Easton is pointing at the helicopter that just flew by.

Since we got back from Florida that is all Easton talks about. Everything is Jacob's, or he asks constantly where he is.

Something that makes it so special having the 2 of them so close is that I grew up with a cousin/best friend who was exactly 6 months older than I. Easton and I were born on Aug. 5. Jacob was born Feb 1st and Cara was born Feb 21st. So its fun to see how it probably was with Cara and I.
